My name is Rico Shackelford. I’m an art director, animator, motion graphic designer, illustrator, video editor, sound editor, and whatever else gets the job done! Over the last fifteen years I’ve worked for and with some amazing brands and their marketing and creative teams. These brands include Ernie Ball, Music Man, 805 Beers, Firestone Walker Brewing Company, ClassDojo, Mindbody, and Invisalign to name just a few. I’ve done it all. From testimonial films, product marketing videos, tutorial and explainer videos, brand ‘hero’ films, internal company videos, webpage videos and animations, short films, social ads and assets, ads for television and streaming services like Hulu, animations for the Nasdaq screen in Times Square, ads played on the LA Galaxy stadium Jumbotron, storyboarding, rebrands, illustration and graphic design work, print ads, book art, clothing designs, and even helping launch and edit a podcast—the list goes on. These days I’m primarily focused on motion design and art directing, but I’m always happy to tap into all my experience to bring a project to life.
